June 18th, 2008Bidvertiser PPC Experience, Oh My God!
One week ago, I decided to lunch a new PPC campaign to promote this blog and get more readers and definitely increase my RSS subscribers. I chose Bidvertiser as they accept Paypal as a method of payment. So I created my ad carefully, I chose a good title and description that reveal exactly the blog theme, so that I get more interested users. I set up bids at 0.15$ in average and the daily budget at 15$ that mean I’ll get from this campaign 100 targeted unique visitor daily.
The campaign took about 36 hours to get approved and here we go the traffic start coming.
But, It wasn’t like I expected! there is no quality traffic at all. I got my first 92 visitor in less than one hour, and guess what, they are not interested at all the page views rate was 1:1 that mean no one go to another page, they just view the homepage and they go. And the most horrible things is when i checked my visitor paths I discovered that the visit length is 0 sec, and that mean that those visitors don’t even scroll down to the bottom of the page, they just click the ad, view the header of the site without giving the browser the time to load the rest of the page and they leave.
Other things that shocked me is the adsense earning, the CPC was down for a rate of 75%, thet’s beacuse Google considered that traffic as junk one and got my blog smart priced and I still suffering from this bad exeperience as the CPC still down for a rate of 30%.
Conclusion: Blog promotion through Bidvertiser is a waste of time & money.
So, how we will promote our blogs? I believe that the best way until now is good content and SEO.
