Dot Me Extension24 hours ago, the .Me domain extension has been released and opened to the public through Godaddy for a starting price of $19.95 per year, and the minimum period of registration requiered is 2 years, so you need an initial amount of $39.90 to register your chosen .Me domain name.

I heard that a lot of people are complaining about the new .Me extension and about Godaddy too, and how they explain that the .Me business is a big fail. Since the first minute when the .Me extension sale offer had been opened, people went to Godaddy and start checking for the domains that they had chosen, at the beginning they found the domains available and everybody was happy, they register and pay for the domains, but guess what! A few minutes or hours later, they got a notification e-mail from Godaddy informing them that the domain names are already taken and they will receive a full refund in 24 business hours.

What that mean? Probably the big players in the industry already reserved their domain names, before the registration was open to the public, and maybe because in the first rush hour of sale, when Godaddy was running extremely slow, a lot of people was registering the same domain at the same time, so you know the rest, one offer get approved and others rejected.

I saw also some lucky people that they got their .Me domain names confirmed, and as I noticed, a lot of celebrity names were taken. I didn’t registred any domain name yet, but I am sure that they still millions of good domains available. I think it’s a good opportunity to pick up some good names that can help in search listing of a new website, or just to flip it for a reasonable amount later.

So, did you got your .Me domain name that you was looking for?

Two weeks ago when I posted about the free professional Wordpress themes pack, I was asked about this blog template and the plugins that I use, my answer was short, but I promised to post about this issue, and here we go.

First thing, I want to let everybody know that my blog theme is a free one that everybody can get, but the original one look too different from that you see right now, because I made a lot of changes to it, and that include the customized header and footer, plus many other small modifications.

Let get back to the plugins, I don’t use too much plugins, I don’t even have desactivated plugins, I carry to get only the necessary and the useful ones that guarantee the maximum of utility. So, check out:

When the Internet began people were aware of the flexibility available and had all sorts of ideas to make money online. The attractive thing about making money from the Internet is that fact that you can do it without leaving your house or even having an employer. The freedom of making money online and the endless possibilities is what attracts most people. However once you take the plunge and actually commit some time to research the ways that you can make money on the Internet successfully, you will realize that it does take a lot of hard work and in a lot of cases you will not get any money for a while when you first begin. Of course it does depend on your ideas and work ethic, some people have been so successful that they can do it full time.

Internet marketing is the most popular method of making money online. There are various ways to do it. Making a website and selling the website space for advertisements can be very lucrative. It all depends if enough traffic can be driven to your website. Google Adsense program for instance pay on a per click basis. The more visitors you get to the site the more clicks you get and therefore more money. Driving traffic to a website is the hard part, this is primarily due to the competition of other websites. Most websites are setup so that they will rank high in search engine results, not all websites can be on the first page of such results and so the most relevant web pages are chosen. When you have a lot of competing web pages for a particular keyword it can be very hard to get ranked on the first page of search engine results.

Affiliate programs can be used if you have chosen to make a website. You receive a commission of a sale if you bring traffic to a website that has something to sell. The most popular affiliate marketing programs out there are Clickbank, Commision Junction and Ebay. The first two allow you to promote digital products, whereas with Ebay you can promote any product you want. With Ebay you also get the added bonus of its brand. People are more likely to buy from Ebay due to the popularity and trust factor of its brand name, this will help you because more of the traffic will convert to sales. Before you sign up to any affiliate marketing programs make sure the commission you will receive is going to be worth your time.

Affiliate programs can be used in conjunction with PPC programs such as Google Adwords. In this case you do not need to make a website, instead you pay for ad space and pay for every visitor that is brought to the sales page of the product you are promoting. The cost of the click is directly proportional to the amount of competition of the keywords that you are bidding on. It is a balancing act of making more money than actually spending on the advertisements. However it can be done, some people make a very good living from this, but as with most things you will need to do a lot of research on how to make your campaign successful.

Article writing is one other method of making money online. This is not as popular as some other methods, mainly because you earn on average a set amount of money per article. With Internet marketing the sky is the limit. As a writer you will need to get some clients that can give you work on a regular basis. Forums are a great way to do this. You may initially find that nobody wants to work with you because you have no reputation, you will therefore be forced to write for a bit less than you first intended to.

Selling on Ebay for profits is a more traditional business model. You will need to find wholesalers and buy products in bulk in order to keep your expenses to a minimum. Then you set up nice looking sales pages and sell these products on Ebay for retail prices. It is just like having a virtual shop. This is attractive to a lot of people simply because the overheads are kept to a minimum. There are no maintenance costs for a real shop, no need to employ anyone to sell to customers.

There are a lot of ways to make money online, but if you want to be really successful then you will need to have a unique angle on your approach or have an idea for the next big thing.

Affiliate marketing is an internet based business model whereby affiliates receive commission from each sale that they are responsible for. This usually means driving internet traffic to the web pages that sell the products that are being promoted. One important factor to consider when choosing a product to promote is the commission that you receive for selling that product. Higher commissions attract more affiliate marketers and therefore bring in more sales.

It is agreed among most experts that Clickbank is the number 1 place to go if you are looking to promote an affiliate product. At Clickbank there are thousands of products to promote. They are all ebook type products and therefore in digital format. This means that affiliate marketers are able to receive very large commissions. A lot of products there give out commissions as high as %75. To promote a product all you need to do is sign up at Clickbank, which is free. Then pick a product and that you want to promote. Then an affiliate link can be obtained. This is a url which when clicked on goes to the sales page of the product that is being promoted. If people buy the product then you will receive a commission, because they had to click on your affiliate url in order to get to the sales page.

There are many ways to promote products. One common way is to build a website, which reviews the product you are promoting as an affiliate marketer. At the end of the review you would have your affiliate link. So that if they liked the description of the product in your review, they may click on the link and go on to buy the product giving you a commission. Other methods are using PPC programs such as Google Adwords. This requires some investment initially, because you will pay for traffic at a per visitor basis. Whereas the making a website method is practically free, apart from the cost of a domain. You can get around this by getting a blog, which is free.

Apart from Clickbank there are other places where you can sign up to be an affiliate marketer. Commission Junction is a popular choice, it is very similar to Clickbank. Ebay also has an affiliate marketing program. Here the same principles apply. You need to drive internet traffic to the ebay website and then if your driven traffic converts to sales you will receive a commission. You may be more successful with the ebay affiliate marketing program due to the popularity of the ebay brand.
