In terms of all the sedans that Chevrolet produces, the one thing that they should be happy about is the fact that, the 2014 Chevrolet Impala is the largest sedan in its product line. The first model which received the 6-speed transmission was the 2012 Impala, and till today, they have maintained that same transmission equipped with tiptronic functions. Tiptronic allows drivers to change the automatic drive train into a manual, just for the feel. The 2014 Chevrolet Impala has been equipped with a wide variety of new features, style, class, technology and seating. Once the 2014 Impala comes into the market for sale, it would surely get heads to turn, as this family sedan becomes one of the must have vehicles in 2013.
The 2014 Chevrolet Impala was first introduced at the New York Auto Show, and we were there to get an in-depth glimpse at the new sedan from Chevrolet. The new Chevy Impala is going to stand much taller and bolder than prior models, mainly because of its 20 inch alloy wheels and body size. The hood is much sculpted, headlights have been darkened and the front end got a complete makeover. The headlights are no longer the traditional headlights seen in the 2012 and 2013 models, as they have been darkened and tinted. When you look at the 2014 Chevrolet Impala front the front, it looks very similar to the Camaro, as it has a replicate grill in the front. When you see the new 2014 Chevy Impala, you will immediately know that it is indeed a sporty sedan!
When it comes down to the performance level of the 2014 Impala, you can rely on the 2.5-liter engine boasting upwards of 195HP. The drive train is backed by a 6-speed automatic transmission, which is being offered at different trim models. The 2014 lineup will also include a V6 – 3.6 litre engine which runs at an amazing 300HP. All models include front wheel drive for maximum performance. Driving the 2014 Chevrolet Impala is simply magnificent, as you have all the power you need with the push of the accelerator. The 2013 Impala offered similar engine power, so if you had the pleasure of testing the older model, you wouldn’t really see anything special in the 2014 Chevrolet Impala.
Availability in 2013
As the 2014 Impala is still going through some minor changes, we can’t say much about what to expect in terms of fuel efficiency. However, the most notable difference between the 2014 and 2013 Impala model is the huge design change. Chevrolet has worked hard to keep their signature designs in place, and yet, they have managed to do wonders with the whole exterior styling of the 2014 Chevrolet Impala. According to confirmed sources, the 2014 Chevrolet Impala has been scheduled to hit showrooms sometime in the fall of 2013. As of now, we know that there are three trim levels; the LS, LT and LTZ. To get more information on state availability, leasing and financing options; you should wait until mid-2013, as that’s when Chevrolet has planned to publicly market the 2014 Chevrolet Impala.
