The primary goal of any webmaster is to earn money from his website. There are two types of websites: E-Commerce websites and informational websites. E-Commerce websites earn money from various E commerce activities whereas informational websites can earn money through various forms of advertising. The following are the different ways to earn money from your website:

(a) PPC advertising: This is the most popular source of income for informational websites. After signing up with a PPC network, you are supplied with some codes which are to be pasted on your webpages. Your website will then show some contextual ads relevant to it’s content. When visitors to your site click on these ads, you earn some
money, which may vary from a few cents to a couple of dollars. The earnings per click depend upon the general traffic level of the site, as well as it’s niche. Niches like financial products, loans, mortgages, collage education etc. are very profitable. The most popular PPC network is ‘Google Adsense’. Other networks include ‘Yahoo Publisher Network’, Bidvertiser, Chitika, Clicksor etc.

(b) CPM advertising: This is similar to PPC advertising, only with the difference that you earn money according to the number of page views which the ad displayed on your site generates. Some important CPM networks are ‘Casale Media’, ‘Value Click’, ‘Advertising.com’ etc.

(c) Selling your own ad space: You can directly sell banner ads on your website. By doing this, you can cut down middlemen commissions and determine your own rates.

(d) Affiliate marketing: Affiliate marketing involves selling other people’s products for a commission. This is a very profitable online business. As an affiliate, your duty is to send prospective customers to the merchant’s website. If the customer purchases
something, you earn a commission. You can promote the products by putting banner or text link ads or product reviews on your website. The two most popular affiliate marketing networks are Clickbank and Commission Junction.

(e) Private forums: You can put up a private forum on your website and charge a monthly fee from your members for accessing the same.

(f) Job boards: You may put up a job board on your site and charge for the job listings.

(g) Marketplace: Some websites have put up marketplaces for buying and selling of goods and services. They charge a small fee for each listing.

(h) Donations: You can put up a ‘Donate’ link on your website and receive donations from your visitors.

In addition to the above, there are other ways such as, Pop-up and pop-under ads, audio ads, text link ads, sponsored posts etc. which may be used to earn money from your website.

In fact it’s not about the Youtube website itself, it’s about Youtube audience, people who visit Youtube everyday to watch their favorite videos or to discover new ones can make your rich or at least can help you to make a living. But before that step , you need to know that’s not as easy as you may think, it needs a lot of work, I mean hard work and perseverance at the beginning but later you’ll enjoy the taste of the passive income.

Two years ago, I was using Youtube services as any normal Internet user who visit Youtube to have some fun by watching other’s videos. Six months later, I started considering Youtube as a marketing tool, especially when I bought an ebook that explain how we can make money online with parked domains and Youtube. My method is about recording videos, original ones, showing me and/or my friends talking and giving our opinion in a creative way about the two celebrities compared on the poll website, and of course the video is watermarked with the poll site url as I have the full rights as I’m the video creator and original owner. At the end of the video, I add a small text asking people to check out the poll website in order to vote for their favorite celebrity with the possibility to win a free prize, that’s it! You think that’s too simple? Yes, it is and it works pretty well for me.

The best thing about this method is the no need of any update, you create the video, upload it with the proper title, description and tags and Youtube do the rest without any extra charge. This strategy makes me a steady income until today. I was thinking about writing an ebook about this method as all Internet marketers do, but I felt like enjoying writing about it to help people especially newbies to get more experience in the make money online field. So, what do you think?

Update 1: I got an email asking about how many poll websites and videos that generates over 3000$ per month? Well, the answer is that I have about 150 videos published on Youtube for 10 poll websites, that results to 15 videos per website. From this you can conclude that’s in average every website makes 300$ per month.. That’s a small 10$ per day! Easy to reach, isn’t?

I have been bombarded with enough storey’s of Infolinks, but I was too disinclined to sign up for it as I was too happy using Kontera. Also, I did not have to change any of my website settings to add this service; Infolinks easily installs itself and works well with any sort of scripts.

I think the earnings made per click are just too good enough compared to all other services. Also with the fact that this service uses PayPal to make its payments, this network service adds another plus point. Though I was using Kontera in the past, I would say Infolinks is a better networking service that provides a great way of online income than Kontera itself. Infolinks provide more adds per page and offers greater Cost per Click, this in text add service provided me with a more stable online income compared to Kontera.
I have always heard positive reviews about receiving payments from Infolinks, though I have not received any payments yet as it is just my first month. I have seen my friends earning double the amount with Infolinks, which is 50% higher than what I used to earn with Kontera. I am sure to receive my payments shortly and that too more than my previous records. 

In conclusion, I should mention about the extraordinary responsive members of the Infolinks support team. There are always someone sitting behind the service that are experts and are ready to help anytime and on any matter you ask them. I have poked the support center of Infolinks time after time asking silly doubts, but amazingly I have found real serious and friendly reply from them.

Update 1: I removed Infolinks code from my blog on September 24, 2009 due to the low CPC that I start receiving and also due to the fact that I got clicks without getting paid for them! It’s sucks to get a click for $0.00. I decided to go without an in-text advertising for the moment and I hope that someday we’ll find a strong and well-paying in-text advertising service.
