Necessary WordPress Plugins

Two weeks ago when I posted about the free professional WordPress themes pack, I was asked about this blog template and the plugins that I use, my answer was short, but I promised to post about this issue, and here we go.

First thing, I want to let everybody know that my blog theme is a free one that everybody can get, but the original one look too different from that you see right now, because I made a lot of changes to it, and that include the customized header and footer, plus many other small modifications.

Let get back to the plugins, I don’t use too much plugins, I don’t even have deactivated plugins, I carry to get only the necessary and the useful ones that guarantee the maximum of utility. So, check out:

1/ Akismet: I think every blogger know about this plugin and had it already activated on his blog, because the Akmiset plugin block all the spam and junky comments. By the way Akismet has caught 568 spam for me since first installed.

2/ All In One SEO Pack: Essential for everyone who want to get his posts indexed with optimized description and keywords.

3/ Dual Feed: Allow you to offer your readers and visitors the opprtunity to grab full post feed and summary feed, It work for the full blog ( Main page feed, Search feed, Category feed, etc.. )

4/ Executable PHP Widget: Perfect plugin that allow you to add customized php codes to the sidebar with a simple drag and drop action, you can add up to 9 instances of this widget.

5/ FeedBurner FeedSmith: The best way to detects all your original WordPress feeds and redirects them to your FeedBurner feed in order to track every possible subscriber.

6/ Google XML Sitemaps: Automatically generate a sitemap compatible with the majority if search engines including Google, Yahoo, Msn and Ask.

7/ PHP Contact Form: A powerful plugin that offer you an easy to install contact page in order to better communicate with your readers, thos page is fully customized from the admin panel.

8/ Subscribe To Comments: Allow subscribed readers to receive notifications via emails for new comments posted in an indicated entry.

9/ WP Related Posts: Generate related posts list under each entry in the post page, based on tags.

Well, that’s all what I use for the moment as WordPress plugins for better blogging experience, I spent a long time of hard work and tests and I tried too many plugins in order to get this 12 element list, maybe I missed something, but in general I can say these are the most essential WordPress plugins for me. Do you have something to add? If yes, please share the wealth.
