Twitter Tricks ExposedAs a twitter user you’re probably trying to build your twitter following as much as possible. It really isn’t that difficult to gain followers, but you have to know and understand what you’re doing. Some advice: don’t try to post how-to tweets or constantly post irrelevant and wacky stories. While it will gain you some followers, it will just lead to people ignoring or de-following you eventually. However, this doesn’t have to be your doom. We have begun a list of twitter tricks that can help you tweet and gain more followers. As well as make twitter a much more fun and interactive for you.

Reply to the hashtags from search.twitter.com. When you first enter the page you will see a list of hot trending topics. Pick one, and dive right in the conversation. Being part of conversations is what twitter is utilized for.

Tweet from your phone and receive tweets to your phone! here is a quick guide for this:

  • One: Log into your twitter account from twitter.com
  • Two: On the right hand corner there should be a tab that’s labeled as settings. Click it
  • Three: You should find the devices tab on top. Now click on that.
  • Four: Insert your phone number into the box using this format. [your area code] & [phone number].
  • Five: The last and final step. Check the box and and save and you’re done.

Find people to follow on twitter

This isn’t a difficult one. You can find plenty of twitter directories online and follow people that relate to your interest from there. Or, you can use mrtweet.com and let them help you find people that would best suite you.

Ever wanted to tweet about something, but use a time stamp for it? Well, tweetlater.com can do just that! Sign up for the service, post your tweet, time stamp it, and you’re done.

    Thanks for the post about setting your mobile on twitter. I had one question though, do you get charged for sms from twitter to mobile?

      Hi,
      I think it depends on the country and the service provider too, you may get charged per sms but if you use your Twitter account for professional or work, it wouldn’t be too much expensive for you as an sms cost is not as high as communication rate that is getting cheaper day after day!
      PS: Pesonally, I don’t pay for SMS’s as I have a pack of free sms included with my suscription.
