When Nokia rolled out its Lumia devices, many of us were expecting a little more “software” in them. Nokia just announced that it would be adding Windows Phone 7.5 to its Lumia 800 and 710. Windows 7.5 is named the Mango and it does include some great features which would be useful for Lumia users. Even though Windows Phone 7 didn’t have much of the amazing features found in Android or IOS, people were still hesitant to see what Microsoft would roll out with this new release. The new Windows Phone 7.5 release available on the Nokia Lumia includes nearly five hundred new features.
Among the five hundred new features, you may only get to use ten on a daily basis! For starters, this new software release requires 256MB of RAM, so even the smaller smart phones in the market could handle all the fuss. Some of the great new features the Nokia Lumia 800 and 710 will be getting are the following,
- Efficient Power Saver Mode
- Advanced Voicemail Options
- Custom Ringtones
- Voice Recognition Texting
- Social Media + Texting Integration
- Better Multitasking
- Advanced Search/Calendar Apps
- Better Camera + Picture Taking Options
The updates listed above are all available on the new Nokia 710 and 800 and these updates are the ones you would obviously be using. Even though the Nokia 800 is more of a regular everyday type of phone, many people are looking forward to the Facebook + Twitter integration that Windows Phone 7.5 would allow on the Nokia. From newly designed picture hubs to advanced settings in the marketplace, the Lumia 710 and 800 are going to be great devices for the economically conscious buyer.
